The Storyteller Behind the Mystery

For more than three decades, Ella Waters built her life around books as a librarian and high school English teacher. That lifelong connection to literature, along with her love of mysteries, now shapes her own storytelling.

Ella writes cozy mysteries centered on relationships, trust, hidden motives, and the secrets that can linger beneath seemingly ordinary places. In Scrumptious Detectives: Shadows of Sweetwater Grove, she brings these interests to life through a close-knit community, buried history, evolving relationships, and unsettling discoveries.

Now retired and writing full-time, Ella lives in a small town with her beloved dog and ever-growing collection of books.
